My work reflects my interest in life with its contrasts and ambiguities

My use of paint brings together aspects of control and freedom, I enjoy the unpredictable characteristics that develop as I work. The contrasting elements of fate and chance are echoed in the light and dark paintings. Much of my work is made in pairs or series that demonstrate the complexities of a system of opposites. Most of my work is abstract and the subject is often 'life' and its inter-connecting nature. Some paintings are strongly metaphysical
